Lickd is a micro-licensing service that gives artists a whole new way to reach an audience. It allows YouTube content creators to buy the rights for one-time use for music from Lickd's licensed catalog for the purpose of including such music in non-commercial, non-branded videos that the creator uploads to YouTube. Our Lickd Agreement does not cover Lickd’s “brand-sponsored” licenses.

The price of a Lickd License is determined by the average number of views of the creator's last 50 videos on YouTube, with outliers excluded i.e., excluding the creator's two best and three worst-performing videos. A Lickd License enables the creator to use the licensed track in one single video on YouTube.

With every license, the Creators are advised to include an artist credit with a link back to streaming services. This allows driving extra streaming revenues from licensed usages on YouTube to artists’ music on other platforms.
