With Omziki, you can distribute Singles, EPs and Albums to our digital store partners. Each store has its own way of categorizing content. Omziki cannot control how the stores group and format their content.
Singles
In Omziki’s platform, a single is one individual track.
In iTunes
Your release will be classified as a single if:
· The release is 1-3 tracks
· The entire release is 30 minutes or less, and each individual track is less than 10 minutes long
Releases
that meet the requirements above will automatically have “- Single” inserted in
the release title within the iTunes Store.
As a default, tracks will be sold for $0.99 on iTunes if they are less than 10
minutes. If a single track is 10 minutes or longer, iTunes will automatically
sell the release at an album price.
In Spotify
Your music will be classified as a single if:
· The release is under 30 minutes
· The release has three or fewer tracks
Spotify will not change the title of your release.
Albums
In Omziki’s platform, an album is a release with two or more tracks. Albums can contain up to 100 tracks and have a maximum duration of 2.5 hours.
In iTunes
· Any release with seven or more tracks will be considered an album on iTunes
· Any release that has 1-6 tracks but is over 30 minutes long will be considered an album on iTunes
There may be cases where you release an album through Omziki and the release is labeled as a “Single” or “EP” in the iTunes Store.
EPs
In Omziki's platform, an extended play (EP) is a musical recording that contains more tracks than a single but fewer than an album, and these EPs released through Omziki will be classified as EPs on iTunes and Spotify.
In iTunes
In order for a release to be considered an EP, it must meet one of the following two requirements:
· The release has a total of 1-3 tracks, one or more of the tracks is 10 minutes or longer, and the entire release is less than 30 minutes
· The release has a total of 4-6 tracks and the entire release is less than 30 minutes
If your release meets the above requirements, iTunes will automatically insert "- EP" in the release title on the iTunes Store.
In Spotify
Your music will be classified under the EP category if:
· The release is under 30 minutes
· The release has 4-6 tracks
Spotify will not change the title of your release.
