YouTube allows artists to bring their content together from multiple channels into a centralized location – a YouTube Official Artist Channel (OAC). Your OAC automatically programs your music catalog on two new shelves, including your music videos, songs, and albums. Conditions
Having an Official Artist Channel on YouTube is related to having a "Topic Channel". That means, if an End User wants to have an Official Artist Channel it is necessary to accomplish the following conditions:
- To have their own Topic Channel.
- At least one music video was provided by a music distribution partner in the Artist YT Channel.
- The Topic Channel and the Own Channel must have the same artist name.
When is an owned channel not eligible for the application?
Owned channels that contain the following characteristics will not be managed by YouTube:
- Empty channels
- Fan channels
- Wrong artists (different names)
- House channels
- Multi-artist channels
- Non-music channels
- Vevo channels
How do I connect my releases to my OAC?
- Log in to your account and head to the YouTube OAC banner or YouTube for Artists page
- Once you hit the “YouTube Official Artist Channel” landing page, follow the prompts.
- Once you filled in the form, click submit your request
