Important Update: New Spotify Anti-Fraud Measures and Penalty Notifications 1 0

There has recently been changes in Spotify's anti-fraud policies and associated financial penalties, and how they may affect you as an Artiste.

Spotify has introduced new measures to combat artificial streaming and improve its royalty system (read Spotify’s communication here).

As a result, charges will now be applied for songs removed or excluded from royalty calculations due to fraudulent plays, resulting in a penalty of $15 per track per month, which we will reflect in your service fees.

Our Service Agreement will be adjusted to conform to these new measures introduced by Spotify, as it's anticipated that other DSPs will also adopt similar practices.

In light of these changes, at Omziki, we remain committed to transparency and fair practices in our partnership with artists.

Spotify penalties will be included in your service invoices, separate from confirmations. This means that any penalties received from Spotify will be accounted for in your subsequent billing cycle.
